What am I reading
Books by Robert Graves. His work on Roman history - Claudius the God and I' Claudius are simply superb. Goodbye to all that is quite different. I believe it created a big storm. Haven't got beyond the 40% mark yet.
Finished the book. An autobiography. Very different in style from the other Claudius books. Slightly careless and too many personal details - so naturally people were offended. The ending is abrupt. OK, I got to know about the author. Couldn;t see any particular literary merit, evidenced in his other books.
